El Dorado Park - Riverside

Updated: Aug 12, 2023

El Dorado Park is an 8-acre park in Riverside, California. With mostly open, grassy space, it’s a wonderful spot to throw a football or walk your dog. Most visitors will be very local, so the park will usually be empty - that’s more relaxing for you!

There are lots of places to park, but no parking lots. These street names are Remington Drive, Warren Street, Corwin Lane, and Della Street. Most people will walk here since it’s only a few minutes away.

There are lights throughout the park so that people can keep enjoying their day.

El Dorado Park is 1,700 feet long. Dozens of people can play games and there would still be space. The most common activities in this park include walking dogs, playing football or soccer, and throwing frisbees.

With a few trees scattered throughout the park, people can have picnics in the shade. It can make for a great day!

There is a sidewalk that goes through the park (at Remington Drive), so you can easily pass through. More gravel sidewalks are scattered throughout the park that were recently built.

Sally Munoz says, "Lots of green grass andfresh air. Open space for sports. Great to go on walks and jogs. No jungle gyms for kids. Surrounded by a nice peaceful neighborhood. Great for family picnics and gatherings."

Challen Park

Because Challen Park is so close (only a couple of blocks to the south), we’ll talk about it a little bit. If you climb 140 feet up to the top of the hill, you can see for dozens of miles in each direction on a clear day. There are so many trails that go all around Challen Park, so you can spend hours exploring. It’s an easy hike to the top, so I highly recommend it! It may be a little crowded, though.
