Mountain View Park is a 5-acre park in Rancho Cucamonga with 2 playgrounds, a baseball field, a basketball court, lots of picnic tables, and a green space. We’ll talk about all of these things in this blog.
Evan's video shows his dogs playing around at the park. You can see the amazing background that you will have when you're there.
The only place to park is a parking lot off of Terra Vista Parkway East. There are 32 spots and 2 handicapped spots. You will have the basketball court and playground right next to you.
We’ll start off with the basketball court. The perimeter, free-throw, three-point, and mid-court painted lines are all present. There are some lights so that you can play games after the sun has set. The court is surrounded by trees, so it should keep cool.
Next up is the baseball field. It’s a couple hundred feet away from the parking lot. There are dugouts with benches, but no shade covers. There are also no bleachers for the parents, so they will need to bring their own chairs or stand. Luckily, there are trees to catch some shade. Because there is no outfield fence, this ballfield will be geared toward younger players.

There are a dozen picnic tables and some barbecue grills scattered around Mountain View Park. Other than some occasional shade, most will be in the sun. There are a couple underneath a shade shelter - it’s right next to the playground.
The green space is past the baseball field. There’s enough room to play things like soccer, football, frisbee, or throw balls to your dog.
The concrete sidewalks go around the park and measure 0.32 miles in total. That’s a good distance for a short walk with your dog. Along these sidewalks is some exercise equipment. Kids love them because they are basically mini jungle gyms.
There are restrooms next to the parking lot and playground. I hear that they are in decent shape.
As the name implies, Cucamonga Peak and Ontario Peak are visible from Mountain View Park. It looks amazing in the winter when there is snow on the San Gabriel Mountains. There is another Mountain View Park in Chino that we wrote a blog about!
Brittany Kelley says, "My. 3 year old was able to play in all the equipment. There are three covered table areas, two pergolas with a table and another large roofed structure with four tables and other tables scattered around the park. This park also has a baseball court, baseball field, and grassy area to play."
Mountain View Park Playground
As I said above, there are some picnic tables next to the playground so that you can watch your kids easily.
The playground has a combination of sand and rubber. None of those wood chips that cause cuts and splinters!
The older (and larger) playground has a swirly fireman pole, a swirly slide, a regular slide, a rope ladder, rotating wheels, a zip line (somewhat) machine, a rope ladder that goes on top of a boulder, and more jungle gym equipment.
The smaller playground has slides, a ladder, a rope ladder, a bridge, and more.
There are also 4 classic swings and 2 bucket swings.
Have a fun day at Mountain View Park!
